Tomorrow, Friday,Jan 30th is our first check point on your Olympic Sport Project. All you need is to be able to tell me what sport and project idea you picked and how it is going. I just don't want anyone to fall behind and leave it to the night before!! The project is due next Friday, Feb. 7th.
Check out our amazing art work on the Art Gallery page! The students worked hard to create city scapes after we looked at the art work of a famous artist, Romare Beardon. He created collages using various materials.
We can certainly learn something from this little girl! Try hard and look after yourself!
This upcoming week some students will find some extra work in their homework. We have been publishing Christmas stories for a long time, so they have now become homework, as I have found staying in at recess is not an effective use of time at this point. I also have a few students who need to finish their 'Pig Projects' for Science. Please check your child's homework folder for details.
I have added some photos to our site. Check them out under the Science tab, on the Structures page.
We are heading skating on the following days; January 21st and Feb. 11th from 9:45-10:15am at the Peter Murray Rink. On Feb. 18th, we will be skating at 10:15-10:45am. Please feel free to join us for tying skates and on the ice. ALL students must have helmets and carry their skates in a cloth bag.
We had a great time in Science last week as we took on the challenge of creating bridges that would span 50 cm and could hold weight. I was very proud of how the students worked together in teams and had a great attitude towards the testing of their bridges. Check out our photos on the Bridges page under the Gr.3 Science Tab.
Mrs. Duff and her students will keep you posted on what we are up to!
