I have added some new things for my grade 3 and 4 students!
Under the 'Grade 3 Builder' tab, there are many new photos, books, video clips and web sites! Enjoy!
For my grade 4 students I have added photos of their Plan a Meal Projects under the 'Healthy You' tab. They really did a fantastic job! What I enjoyed most about marking them was the students saying that one thing they learned was how much work supper was! From a mom's perspective...that is the best thing they could have learned!
Also, it has been Career Week and we have been so fortunate to enjoy visits from so many professional people in our community...many from our families! We have had engineers, a dentist, fire-fighter, police, and military! It was wonderful to hear how to study to become one of these professionals and how much they all enjoy their jobs! Also, a thank you to Mrs. Nesbit, our Guidance Counsellor for talking about the importance of doing our best at being a student as we prepare for our future careers. Did you realize how important it is to be on time for school, work hard and be a trustworthy person? The web site; Paws in Jobland is pretty neat!
I am going to try something new beginning this Friday....the 'No Homework Binder.' If your child comes to school with no homework duotang or projects on due dates, they will be asked to record the reason why on an assigned page in this binder. This will allow me to keep track of homework issues that I can share with you at Parent Teacher Interviews. Reading daily is the key to becoming a better reader....please record your reading and return homework books on Fridays. Being responsible, submitting assigned work and arriving on school on time are life skills that your children will need as they become employees in the future. It truly is important.
Mrs. Duff and her students will keep you posted on what we are up to!
