I apologize for the lack of entries to our site! I find home report time so busy....I hope you found your child's home report to be informative and helpful. I appreciated having the opportunity to speak to many of you at Parent Teacher interviews this week. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
I am excited to see the new Actual Factual Non-Fiction projects arrive tomorrow! Mrs. Connor and I decided to not send a new project home for the month of December as it is a busy month for all and family time is important. Please to continue to have your child read daily as well as complete the Math activities that Mrs. Carey sent home. (Being sent on Monday, December 3rd.)
As you probably have heard about our opportunity to speak to a Cdn. astronaut, Chris Hadfield in January, please take some time to explore the new page, Space under the Grade 4 tab and learn more about this exciting event. We will be spending a great deal of time learning about space and the International Space Station this month.
I was so proud of my students as they worked so hard to raise funds for the Empty Stocking Fund. They worked at each event we hosted and counted the cash. Our school donated $800 to the fund on Saturday, Nov. 24th. I am very proud to be the great grand daugher of the founder of the fund, Harry Ervin. Below is the link to my son, Jacob's web site he created as his last year's Heritage Fair project. He would love to hear of your special memories on his blog. http://emptystockingfund.weebly.com
Mrs. Duff and her students will keep you posted on what we are up to!
