Don't forget that the Paper bag Book Projects are due this Friday, October 30th! If you have any questions, please ask. We will begin to present them the following week.
Welcome back to school! Boy, we are excited that you are in our classrooms! Mrs. Carey and I are ready to begin, I sure hope you are.
A big thank you to the Home and School Committee for sponsoring a trip to the Sugar Bush! We had a wonderful trip, learned about our New Brunswick heritage and tasted a lovely treat of syrup on snow!
Thank you to Mrs. Connor and Mrs. Wilson for organizing the Heritage Fair! It was a wonderful event and we learned a lot from completing our own projects and visiting the grade 4 & 5 students. Here are some photos from the fair!
At our Fun Fitness assembly on Friday, we had a special guest, Miss Viola Swamp from the book, Miss Nelson is Missing. She shared a story she wrote and announced how each month a student from each class will be videotaped reading one of their own pieces of writing. WOW Writing stands for Wonderful Outstanding Writing! Who will be representing our grade three students this month? Will it be you?
We had a wonderful time celebrating the children's work at our Author's Celebration on Friday. The children researched and wrote their own non-fiction books. They are amazing! Check out photos under the Literacy tab.
Mrs. Carey and I would like to thank you for your meeting with us for Parent Teacher interviews. We had a great response and appreciate wether or not you wrote a comment on the back of the envelope, sent an email, had a meeting or are coming next week to see us. Your support of your children is evident and appreciated.
Mrs. Duff and her students will keep you posted on what we are up to!
